Branch - Fortnightly Hydrotherapy Pool Sessions

posted 19 Feb 2017, 12:52 by NAS CardiffVale   [ updated 19 Feb 2017, 12:56 ]

We are hosting fortnightly sessions at a local hydrotherapy pool on Saturday afternoons .
The pool is relatively small, very warm and has sensory lights, and the event is for a small number . There is also a small splash pool. We are inviting children and young adults with a diagnosis or autism or are currently undergoing assessment for autism. The session is best suited to those individuals who struggle with a normal swim session at a public pool and we hope that this environment will provide a positive first step to accessing a pool.

Upcoming Post Diagnostic workshops for Cardiff LEA Parents and Carers

posted 30 Oct 2016, 04:59 by NAS CardiffVale

Please find attached the flyer for the post-diagnostic workshops for parents of children with ASD.  These are aimed at Cardiff parents (the vale runs Early Bird+ which is a similar course) who have recently received a diagnosis of ASD, whose child is between 5-19 years of age. Parents of younger children can access the Early Bird training offered through The Hollies School.
The workshops are being delivered jointly by education, health and parent reps, are totally free and are running once a week, for 6 weeks, starting in November.  This roll out will be during the day, 10am – 12:30pm.  For parents who would find it easier to attend sessions in the evening, we will repeat the workshops in the summer term from 5pm-7pm.
